Each individual school will decide on this point. However, as a general rule, Catholic schools will not bar non-Catholics from teaching there. If the Catholic school is teaching the Catholic Faith and concerned about it, they will simply ask that your lifestyle is within the bounds of morality and the natural law, and that though you have freedom to teach according to the scope of your discipline, that what you teach not be against the Catholic Faith.

You do not have to believe in Catholic things, or teach Catholic things beyond what is required in the curriculum, just that you cannot teach against it.

The degree to which this is the norm does vary from school to school, however the general overall movement as moved by the Vatican and the younger generation of priests and bishops is towards an environment that is increasingly orthodox.

Due to the nature of private schools (not necessarily catholic) the intitution can decide on what requirements are needed for a teacher. Therefore while a private school can demand a person be a certain religion this is not necessarily the norm. For the most part teachers regardless of faith are required to uphold the ethics of the school. For example, a teacher would not enforce their opinion of abortion in a catholic school, likewise in a muslim school would they not tell the girls to remove their headscravesm nor in a jewish school would a teacher try to convert students.
