The British Dietetic Association guidelines state that an average adult should consume 2.5 liters of water per day. This intake needs to be increased during periods of hot weather or during and after periods of physical activity.

You can get your daily water requirements from sources other than pure water - your cup of tea counts! Water is the main ingredient of all drinks – carbonated drinks and still drinks, fruit juices and fruit and vegetables all have a high water content.

Experts are now saying that the amount of water we drink should be determined by our body size. One ounce for ever two pounds we weigh. For example a 100 pound woman needs to drink 50 ounces of water. But a 200 pound man needs to drink 100 ounces of water.

These answers are all bullsh!t. There is no set amount that you "should" drink. That's a MYTH, people!! Pure folklore.

Drink when you're thirsty. Period. Don't obsess over trying to reach some arbitrary and unnecessary "goal".

about 2 liters, but not in ones, you should drink every hour a little bit, because else it will go straight through your body and that has no use at all.
