It's not wrong, it's just how society sees it. If you are careful and you're not stupid about it, and you're not over 18 having sex with a minor, then it's fine.

People who are under 18--actually under about 25--are not 'extremely mature'. Just because they act a certain way, or look a certain way, doesn't make them emotionally mature. The trouble is, most people in those age groups don't realize--because they've never been older--that they are not completely mature yet.
Sex was made by God for sharing the most intimate relationship possible between only one man and one woman. To have that union is so close that God gave them the ability to create life between them. There are a lot of emotional implications in that. Satan, who hates God and all his children (human beings) makes an evil counterfeit of everything good God made, thereby throwing people off track and ruining their lives.
Although sex isn't all about having babies, it is about having babies. Who under 18 is mature enough to be a parent? When you get 26, do you want to be raising an 8 year old kid?
And underage people just aren't ready for the strength of the emotions that go with (or should go with) having sex.

Having sex under the age of 18 is not wrong. If you want to have sex go ahead. It pisses me off when people say "It's wrong!" or "It's immoral" (with having sex before 18 OR before marriage). Also, I think it's incredibly annoying when someone 18 or older has sex with someone under 18 and they call it statutory rape. I guess it's fine with it being a law, but do not put rape in it because rape is forced. If they were both willing, it has nothing to do with rape and the person who is over 18 should not have to get in trouble (if the minor was 15-17). I am 17 and my boyfriend is 19 and we have sex. We first had sex when I was 16 and he was 18. If the minor was lets say 12-13, then it might be....weird....but if it was consentual then the law shouldnt butt in. Also it pisses me off when a "minor" presses charges on a guy for staturtory rape (if he's 18 and over) because she's mad at him or some other bullshit and he gets in trouble. Them girls are b*tches.

No offense to anybody, but at that age nobody is able to make an adult desision like that because your mind doesn't fully mature until you're 25yrs old believe it or not. People who choose to not wait until they are fully devoted to spending their lives with someone, Go out, have sex, have a child at 17 and then.................they don't know what to do, and next thing they know bills start coming that they can't pay, go into debt and end up in the ghetto. that was a very rapid succesion of events on how I feel about that. hope you make the right choice!

having sex before you turn 18 or even before marriage poses alot of threats to your future.even being extremely careful with protection anf birth control there is still the chance of catching diseases that condoms don't protect against.herpes don't only live on the penis or inside the vagina.they are on the outside as well.same with gonaorrea and other std's.scabies can also be contracted from just skin contact.and pregnancy cannot be fully prevented with condoms.and being 17 with a baby isn't cool at all.it makes achieving your goals a longer and more difficult road.supporting them is not joke.but it can be done.but if i knew then what i know now i would have waited.

I think its wrong and immoral. You should wait until you are married because protection has a chance of not working and you could think that mature enough to have sex but are you mature enough to raise a kid? WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not wrong. The point behind it is that teens are supposed to be irresponsible, but in fact, irressponsible teens will remain such in their adulthood too. Legally, the bottom line is about paedophilia.

It really depends on your views and beliefs. If you want to keep things legal, wait until your 16.
