There were some quotes from Bono in May suggesting that they would record in June. I haven't heard anything. Anyone know of anything.

I've heard the same things too. I'm not sure if they are recording at the moment (fingers crossed that they are) but I know Bono's been working on new songs. If you saw him on, I think it was NBC news he said that he had written 8 new songs and sang one to the interviewer. They are also some quotes on U2.com and @u2.com that make me think they are in the studio. You can go to those sites if you haven't already.

U2 and Bono are trying to figure out a way to legitimize the African govts. So far the Aids cash has been "Spent Improperly". Aids infections have not gone down, because such a result would cause less money donated.
Also, other diseases are being attached to that slush fund.
Sorry, but Bono is a bit busy with that stuff to hit to studio. I recommend U2 contact David Lee Roth for vocal help.
