Control Palnel> Administrative Tools> Services> Shell Hardware Dedection (Double Click it)> Select Startup Type, Disabled> Press the Stop Buttton> Press Ok

If u wan to enable auto play again select Startup Type, Automatic> Press the Start Buttton> Press Ok

what autoplay when u put a cd/dvd into your computer, if this is the case goto my computer, right click on the cd drive, goto autoplay and turn off.

Right-click on the "My Computer" icon from the desktop. Navigate to Properties > Device manager. Click on the CD-Rom device and choose 'properties'. Remove the checkmark from "Auto Insert Notificaton". Reboot, if necessary. That should do it.
