I think marriage is sacred and based on a true respect for one another. Honestly, I believe that trust and respect is more important than love. Good luck to you- be open minded and look with an open heart. If you can respect and trust each other- you will live a long happy together.

The question is not about marriage, the question is how much do you want to be an individual?
This is the United States, you can do stuff like being yourself here. Take advantage of it. There is a time to listen to your family and there is a time to think for yourself.
I think you know what time it is. Your family is not getting married, you are. If it doesn't work out, are THEY going to take the blame, care for whatever children the marriage produces and pay for a divorce?
If they are, then go for it, just remember, it's going to be their show, you're just a pawn.

not familiar with your cultural values, however, RESPECT is always the key to trust and compromise. Give her RESPECT every minute of every day, and she will give it back. Respect her enought to listen to her thoughts and respond honestly with respect. That will be a good foundation to build a strong, lasting relationship. If you ever disrespect her, she will lose respect for you, and your marriage will be less fulfilling. Sharing respectful communication will help you understand each other and understanding each other will lead to even more respect, even if you don't always agree. If all people and cultures respected each other, there wouldn't be war. If you respect your future wife, you will never have war or discord in your home life. Make sure she has enough respect for you to have honest, respectful communication with you before you choose her to marry you. You can start your marriage united by knowing each other and have the communication skills it takes to be partners in life and possibly in raising a family if that is a goal you share.

I am sure she is having the same reservations you are. I have often wondered how parents could choose a spouse for their children, though it seems their way has a lesser rate of divorce. Treat her as you would your best friend. Honesty Sincerity and Trust. Love can grow when it is nurtured and cared for. I wish you both a loving life together.

Pls dont heistate to marry. Go and do it. Girls are like boys..a complete human body..only with different physical appearence. What would happen if u marry a man as ur wife? how would u treat him? certainly like a human..just treat ur wife a human who has needs, wishes, aspirations, demand and love for u, try to fulfill all these.

Life is full of many mystery's some of which can defy a womans lack of wisdom.
A high spirited woman can overlook, and overcome any obstacle she faces and taught by her parents, but she cannot learn how to live with a mistake.

to understand a girls behaviour is quite easy..they are simply very straight forward.
if you can take the patience to understand her she will do the same..
family back round wont be a problem if two people whole heartily decides to be together ..only sincere love and understanding matters..be sincere and considerate towards her..listen to her at all her odd times..and be ..cheer full..

My dear boy once you get married, you and she will automatically learn to understand. Actually its not the matter of understanding, its more a matter of adjustment and change. Youve got to understand her and adjust to her and the same goes for her.
