Citizenship for those who want and are willing to earn it. Guest worker permits for those who don't want citizenship. Some taxes to help defray the inevitable costs. A wall across both the northern and southern borders. Everybody welcome, but EVERY immigrant and guest worker with an identification card and fingerprints on file.

Require a drivers license or other governmental photo id or green card or other proof of legal residence before children are enrolled in school or when welfare is applied for.

If it is made more difficult to get services here that may deter some folks from coming here.

However, it would be a nightmare and cost too much money to try and deport all the illegals here now - so we just have to allow those with jobs to stay and become citizens or get green cards.

First secure our borders, do what needs to be done and put up a fence, and stop persecuting groups like the minute men. Second just say you can't deduct the wages of a person that doesn't have a matching social and name. They'll start running back when they can't find work. Third crack down hard on illegals. Then all of them that are here will just disappear.

we should give all the immigrants whether they are illegal or not, a green card. then we should raise minimum wage up to 15 dollars an hour. then we should make the economy very competitive, so that new companies can merge or form. then we will never have issues regarding immigrants.

Ship all the illegals back to their home countrys and let them reapply legally to reenter the country. You get a speeding ticket and you pay for it. You rob somebody you go to jail for it. You file erronious tax deductions you pay for it. If you draw too much money from Social Security you pay for it. These are everyday laws that every citizen of this country has to follow under a law.
Now to allow people to come into our country illegally and then give our social welfare to them in every aspect whether the have worked in the country or not is total assinine. I get tired of liberals saying "Well they worked and were paying taxes"..... Horse Hockey Pucks.... they are in this country breaking our laws that we live with everyday of our lives, and now the politicians want to give them all the benefits without being a citizen. No way. Try going into any other country and see what happens. Some would throw you in jail and throw the key away. Send them back and let them earn their entry like everyone else. Charity begins at home... not with those who steal their way into the country.

How bout some possitive nation building like actually trying to help mexico become a prosperous nation. No I have no idea how that would work but If we are supporting them anyway I would rather do it in their own country.

close the borders to further entry but for those already here give them a chance to come forward get a green card work legally and pay their damn taxes if they don't come forward and get caught as illegals ship them back our government makes no sense we that live here as citizens have to pay taxes but those with green cards or of course illegals don't also penalize big time the companies who employ illegals like walmart and boycott walmart

Let them be a citizen if they agree on joining the military for atleast 2 years. Therefore, no one can say theyre not a real citizen after serving our country. I mean Cmon' if they want citizenship that bad, its not that bad of an idea.
