I used to hate it, but one time I called in to make a hair appointment and the lady said she just loved my name which made me really realize how unique my name is.My name means beautiful girl in Thai--Onanong

I used to hate it. I love it now because I've noticed how many other names that used to be really popular were just a trend and that mine has been one of the most popular names for centries. (I also appreciate the meaning now too.)

I love my name. Perhaps we like our names because we like people addressing us, or referring to us, and hearing it means that others are paying us specific attention, that we are worth mention, it gives us a sense of inclusion and importance. I find it unsettling to hear of others with my name, because it's not overly common and although it sounds childish, it's MINE. I don't like the thought of others growing up with that as their identity as well.

Yeah I like it. I tell people to call me Tika the last 4 letters of my first name. B/C sometimes they say it wrong and it pisses me off.

I love my name. It's unique and different. It means "star" which has always in a way inspired me and gave me confidence.

My name was supposed to be Josephine. That would have been cuter than Mary i think! Mary is unorigional and kinda boring.
But hey... There's something about Mary!!!!!!! hahahaha
