I believe there has to be a common sense approach to female reporters in males locker rooms and male reporters in females locker rooms....

It should work both ways, with some discretion involved. The whole point to any reporter in a locker room is to get that immediate feedback after a sporting event. With camera's all over the place, what is being reported on, is televised.

If a reporter, male or female, gets a little embarrassing or the participants of any sporting event isn't careful, male or female, its televised. It's the television audience who are the recipients of a broadcast, not the reporter...

So, to answer the question...why not....?

Personally .I think it is an invasion of privacy for a member of the opposite sex to be allowed unlimited access to locker rooms.Actually it's an invasion of privacy to have anyone outside the team members and staff in the locker rooms. Whatever they have to say can wait till they're dressed!

I think women in the mens' locker rooms has been more accepted than the opposite would be. It would never fly. I think guys don't care because do women really want to see that? I doubt it. The same is not true of men in womens'l locker rooms.

That is a very good point! I never thought about it! I think the same sex should only be allowed in their own sex locker room. Not mixing! It could lead to many bad things and sticky situations!

My opinion is that the reporter should be required to have the occupants of the lockerooms notified that they are coming in, and that the athletes should be instructed to behave themselves and cover up. They do make towels big enough to cover women from the chest almost to the knees.
Ones gender should not prevent them from getting the job done. If all involved act with some common sense and self control, there should be not reason why they couldn't enter the lockeroom and do their job.

or in WNBA locker rooms? I would so no...all guys have to do to cover up is a towel around the mid section. Women would have to be almost dressed to be covered up.

Women are sacred anyways....they deserve their modesty. Keep the men out of their locker rooms. I would also say keep women out of our locker rooms, too.

All female reporters are aware of the job requirements and they accept them in order to advance their careers. They are adult, mature women who can maintain professionalism in an uncomfortable environment.

I have known very few bashful men, especially athletes. All of the people we are talking about here are adults and are capable of behaving professionally and in a mature manner.

My conscious tells me yes, but many women tennis players are not women they are girls ranging in ages of 15-17 years of age.

I'm all for sexual expression and equality, but not when children are involved.
