it's relatively expensive...you only need to have it done if you have 60-80K on your car. Check your owners manual to make sure. But if you have that many miles it's cheaper to replace the timing belt than to have one break, because that can cost big bucks!

its a very expensive repair. probably around 7-8 hundred bucks
