I'm going to my family's cook out and then go down to watch the fireworks. I love to have a reason to celebrate and spend time with my family. Also the freedom that Americans have, is so precious and maybe everybody doesn't agree with politics or whatever. But there's no other place in the world I'd rather be than in America. So I get the day free to celebrate my freedom. I'm going to have a great time.

Great Leaders Speak About the Bible

"Here is a Book worth more than all the other books which were ever printed." Patrick Henry

"That book, Sir, is the Rock upon which our republic rests." Andrew Jackson "The more profoundly we study this wonderful Book, and the more closely we observe its divine precepts, the better citizens we will become and the higher will be our destiny as a nation." William McKinley

"The best religion the world has ever known is the religion of the Bible. It builds up all that is good." Rutherford B. Hayes

"There are a good many problems before the American people today, and before me as President, but I expect tofind the solution of those problems just in the proportion that I am faithful in the study of the Word of God." Woodrow Wilson

"The whole inspiration of our civilization springs from the teachings of Christ and the lessons of the prophets. To read the Bible for these fundamentals is a necessity of American life." Herbert Hoover

"I say to you, Search the Scriptures! The Bible is the book of all others, to be read at all ages, and in all conditions of human life; not to be read once or twice or thrice through, and then laid aside, but to be read in small portions of one or two chapters every day, and never to be intermitted, unless by some overruling necessity." John Quincy Adams

"We cannot read the history of our rise and development as a nation, without reckoning the place the Bible has occupied in shaping the advances of the Republic." Franklin D. Roosevelt

"Within the covers of the Bible are all the answers for all the problems men face. The Bible can touch hearts, order minds and refresh souls." Ronald Reagan "In all my perplexities and distresses, the Bible has never failed to give me light and strength." Robert E. Lee

"I have read the Bible through many times, and now make it a practice to read it through once every year. It is a book of all others for lawyers, as well as divines; and I pity the man who cannot find in it a rich supply of thought and of rules for conduct. It fits a man for life —it prepares him for death." Daniel Webster

If you're an American, you need to increase your curiosity and read up about your country and look up the word 'independence' in a dictionary; then try to figure out what that might mean to the immigrants that first came to this land... and to their offspring who were born here, and to the countless immigrants who have found a home here from their homelands. CLUE: This wasn't always the United States of America.

no longer each and every American citizen celebrates the Forth of July, merely the overall public. yet i'd say that is because, that is the day us of a as an total grew to change into free. And received liberty, even besides the undeniable fact that each and every man or woman wasn't free, it takes time to strengthen that. yet on that day, they does no longer could pay severe taxes anymore, they does no longer could quarter to english squaddies. and that they had merely beat the opportunities, to them, winning this conflict of independance, became like a mouse battling a bulldog. each and absolutely everyone would imagine the bulldog would win, because of its huge length, and historic previous. yet intead the mouse led the way, and received. i imagine maximum folk do celebrate it merely because of each and every of the interesting you've on that day. yet i imagine even besides the undeniable fact that maximum folk do not comprehend it, or disagree, there's a reason to be celebrating.

It is the country's birthday!! We are the only colony that fought against the colonial British and won. All the rest of the colonies waited for independence while their resources were bled and they were heavily taxed for the "privilege" of being part of the British Empire.

I'm not, really. I just like watching the fireworks because they look cool. lol

A bunch of people are into it because it was the day we were declared our freedom from England and start creating our own government.

Others like it because it gives them a reason to get a free day off of work to visit relatives/friends and have parties.
