Oh yeah. No question. One hundred percent. The Lakers are the best franchise (with the possible exception of Boston) in the NBA. Just look at those yellow banners hanging in Staples. If you had asked will the lakers, win a championship in the next five years, i would have said maybe, but in the longrun they will defintly win again. I think they will win again soon, they have the best player (Kobe) in the NBA and some good young future stars (Bynum and Kwame) that will grow into All Stars. With the addition of 3 point shooting: Vlade Radmonivich, ( he is for real, i have been watching him at clipper games, it seems like he almost never misses threes) a championship shouldnt be to far off.

next 10 YEARS: No... Kobe and Fisher would be long gone quickly. they opt to commerce Bynum and Gasol for Dwight (damaging commerce for the two communities) and additionally the Clippers are the l. a. team on the upward thrust. they have all the greater youthful expertise, Blake and Gordon. The Clippers would be unwell quickly, and this is an identical city. The gamers opt to circulate to the better team, Clippers and Lakers will opposite roles. (My prediction in like 3 years) additionally, in spite of in the event that they shop Bynum and Gasol, Kobe in user-friendly terms has some greater in him, the warmth are too good for the Lakers, the Bulls can beat them in a 7 sport sequence... all the East communities can beat the Lakers IF the Lakers attain the finals. EVER: of direction...

yup, they'll win another championship but not in a couple of decades. As long as kobe is in there, they wont play team basketball which is needed to win championships and they'll tell their fans they're still running the triangle when all they do is run isolation plays for kobe. kobe is one of the best players in the nba right now, both offensively and defensively, but he is also the most selfish player i've ever known. the farthest they can reach in the playoffs is the second round. and as for phil jackson, last season just proved that he cant win with a team that he assembled, which is not the case of his 6 rings where he inherited champion-caliber teams.

Ofcourse they will. Its the lakers. now if they will win wiht the current roster thats another story. i think it will take a few more line ups chnages kobe taking his game to an even bigger level and all those roleplayers stepping up gettin expierience and havin career numners. And maybe another star in the lineup. Prefably a dominant big man like KG or ben wallace would of been good 2.

Yes they will win again. But to win you need one or two dominate big man. eg. Shaq or the two Wallace's, Tim Duncan or Dirk. There are too many talented shooting guards, and shooting forwards to say which is the best. Jordan was the only player with the talent, in modern history to win championships, without a dominate big-man.

In about 10 years they will.

It depends on how much they can attract some star players to come play in L.A. with Kobe again in the next 3 yrs. If they can make some good trades, and have enough cap space to sign some quality free agents anything is possible. Miami won with a team of older veterans, so I think anything is possible. Time will tell.

of course they will. The question is when. I think they are right now one more solid point guard and a strong center away from a championship. Could be if they can get a Jason Kidd-type and a Ben Wallace-type. Then they will be ok.
