Very few felons are in Baseball today. Chet Lemon was the last ex-con that I'm aware of who became a star after a felony conviction. Steve Howe, Jose Canseco, Doc Gooden are a few who've gotten Felony drug convictions or assults and came back and played. Mostly like Howe and Strawberry were never a major factor for a team after legal troubles started.

Football, you could make an all star team of convicted felons.

I think a better question is-How many convicted felons are still playing professional basketball or football? If you or I did half of what some of these guys have done we'd be locked up in the state pen for 10 yrs. Most these guys get community service for some idiodic thing they do.

Chet Lemon was never convicted--or even accused--of anything. You're thinking of Ron LeFlore, who did time before playing for the Tigers in the 1970s.

Gee, I didn't know Jose Consenco was a "convicted felon"!! I must have missed something. Please enlighten me. He did admit to taking steroids, but he didn't lie to Congress or under oath. He should be credited with making the problem public and forcing the government and MLB to do something, however weak their attempt.

I hope this makes sense.
