Considering what it's like in other countries the gun laws here are very lack. Most places you can walk into a shop pick out the one you want give them your info they pick up the phone and find out if you have a felony if you don't they hand you the gun and you walk out of the store. If you go to a gun show there is also no waiting. If you own a gun and you want to sell it in most states you don't have to inform the police. If the gun is used in a crime after you sell it your not responsible. They may trace it to you buy you can say I sold that thing or someone stold it from me. You know the more I write the stupider it sounds. And I own 2 guns!

csme, the US laws are better than in the UK where all hand guns are illegal. This creates a system whereby only the criminals carry guns. If you injure an intruder on your property, the intruder has the right to sue for damages. It's CRAAAAAZYYYYY!

And the government wonders why violent crime is on the rise.

Individual states decide different types of firearms possession, types of permits, costs, etc. in the US.
Check the ".gov" website of the state where you now reside. You should be able to find info there about rules.

laws are different, depends on where you live. Most places you can own a shot gun as long as you don't have felony's.
