Because some black people feel there are not enough good black men to go around for black women. It is really a narrow point of view because love has no color. I feel if you find love it doesn't matter what color the person is. However, when you have a mix-race relationship you must be willing and able to weather the fallout that comes with it. There are alot of narrow minded people who will throw alot of stuff your way. My father is black and married to a white woman. I love her. To me she's a person who loves my dad. If you love this man that means you care about his well-being. Always respect his baby's mother as such and don't feed into her negativity. As you hold your ground as a positive, respectful and balanced person in a trying situations who you really are will shine above what others think.

I feel that no race OWNS anybody. A lot of times most Black women feel as though something is being "taken away" from THEM, but the last time I checked, we were all human individuals able to make our own choices of whom we wanted to be with, so I see this mindset as just plain dumb and a waste of energy and most of the time, usually these are women that are going to remain single for awhile because they chose to limit themselves in the dating pool.
Interracial relationships, unfortunately, bring out the worst in ignorant people. I've experienced this myself, being a Black female who dates mostly White or Hispanic guys, but the most negativity I've recieved were from Black men and ironically from Black men who themselves were in interracial relationships! Go figure. But to be in a relationship as this, both parties have to be thick-skinned enough to be able to ignore stupidity and enjoy your relationship and each other.

Insecurity, the belief that Blacks should only date Blacks, ignorance, etc.
I applaud you for finding the man you love despite his race. I have no reason to hate you because you want to date inter-racially and many other Black women should believe the same.

I'm black and could care less who dates who.....its a free country.....and to each his own. I married a white man and some people had something to say about that....racism is still alive unfortunately, but as long as you're both happy....so be it! Forget what everyone else thinks!

If anything I think it is because of their own insecurities or jealousy. I experienced the same from my black female friends when i married my wife who is Chinese.
