my last period was may,14 2006 I have been pregnant 3 times. I have one living child. I have been feeling nauseated,sore breasts,fatigue,huungry more often. The doc wants me to come back for a blood test.

Yes. A urine test can only detect HCG in your urine, and some women don't have much HCG in the urine until months into the pregnancy. And either a urine *or* blood test will come back negative if taken too early.

Yes. Urine test can come back negative and you may still be pregnant. Is the dr. having the blood test done to verify that you are or are not pregnant? That's the best test there is. Then again, sometimes you may get the same type of feelings when you are about to start your period. I would get the blood test. Best of luck!

Yup. There are no false positive results, but there are false negatives. The test they used may not have detected HCGs, but HCGs multiply exponentially, so just wait a few days and take another test.

yes, someitmes the test cannot detect low levels of the pregnancy hormone us girls have. It sounds like you know when you are prego. the blood test is a good idea. there are other reasons for missing periods and those other symtoms, but those are classic...you know that. happy 4th

U COULD BE ASK THE DOCTOR TO TAKE YOUR BLOOD THAT IS THE BEST ANSWER YOU CAN GET OR WAIT A LITTLE WHILE LONGER AND GO AND GET A TEST YOUR SELF AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
