Mets are going to fall apart during the second half. Met's pitching just isn't there. The Yankees might just make the series this year. They are much improved over last year. Losing Godzilla hurt though. Pavino going down hasn't helped. Depends alot on whether Randy Johnson can remember how to pitch and whether Mussina has any steam left at the end of the year.

If the Tigers made the series it'd be pure randomness. While they have a young team showing a great deal of promise, they have neither experience or established talent except for a few vets like Ordanez and Pudge. Youthfull mistakes by ptichers and young pitchers who cannot adjust when the league figures them out are what will derail the Tigers though.

Boston is going strong so far but is far from a lock. A key injury could knock Boston right out of the post season. There is no depth at some important posisitions and the team is already playing a little above thier heads. So an injury combined with compitition, especially from the Yanks who are notorious slow starters could mean big trouble for Boston.

Nope. I'll say it here that neither New York team will make it to the World Series. The Mets are good, but their W-L record is inflated due to the inferiority of their division. That can be said for the entire NL, but I see the Cardinals being the NL champs. In the AL I see the Tigers or Red Sox advancing to the Fall Classic.

It's a long subway ride from Shea to US Cellular.

No, one of the two will falter. My guess is the Mets will end up being the better of the two. However I doubt either makes the series. If one though, its the Mets.

Red Sox are too strong this year. So the answer is NO! The Yankees don't have the firepower to take it the next level this year.

That will not be possible, as the yankees have to win first....and we now know that the yankees are "offically" losers.
