Hear! Hear! I toast a glass to the lady!! Warrant, Dokken, Y & T, Poison, Night Ranger....( Ok...so Night Ranger isn't so much metal) and they all sound far better than the "alternative" rock, "new" country and/or rap (all sad examples of failed music experiments).
People listen to 70's and 80's rock because they want the best--and this stuff, old as it may be, is exactly that: the best! Why don't people raise h e l l and tell the record labels this fact, totally escapes me.

I think everyone (who is old enough) has their favorite 80's Hair Metal band. Mine is Def Leppard. They're still around, but their 80's stuff is the best. Not too many groups out there today who can match their muscianship.

I love the 80s. When I'm not listening to the radio in the car it's what I'm usually listening to. I love the 80s. Too bad its all grouped as "Classical Rock" now. =( It's not that old! =(

i like alot of 80's stuff... but not much meatle...
much of the new stuff went doun the drain... the 90's where hell on earth for to many bands... they where all pushed out by this new sh1t
that is so changed by a mixer that it becomes more electronicly baised than music that was created for entertainment, only for money...
sorry i just had to get that off my chest but thats why i listen to older rock... all branches...

well i love 80's and the best metal was made then
ac dc/ metallica/ pantera/ iron maiden/ alice cooper/ kreator/ late black sabbath/
megadeth/ death/ king diamond/ judas priest
and many many others
i listen them once in awhile
( but i listen all styles)
80's was the most creative period in music,

I love the 80s they kicked *** then and they kick assnow. my favs would have to be motley,poison,skid row, metallica, twisted sister, g'n'roses, Cinderella, and ugly kid joe.
