Actually it DOES NOT in fact increase your risk of lung cancer.
If you think it's bad then stop [duh.]
But if you like it then continue.
Seriously, all these people buggin out cause we smoke weed.
Chill the eff out. Honestly. Calm the hell down.

p.s. If it was really that bad for you it wouldn't be used as medicine.

This is comming from a previous stoner. Two reasons to quit: you will realize that you had spent way too much money on it a few years from now. Your memory (short AND long term) DOES actually get worse..quite a bit worse. Then all the health reasons...heart disease, cancer, blood pressure, etc. (i'm also an EMT). Then there's always the fact that its the #1 gateway drug and once you get into pot and get tired of it, you will most likely experiment with other drugs (Like cocaine-NOT good, Speed-NOT NOT NOT good..and other bad stuff) in the future. I would say go ahead and smoke if you want to, but try to make it minimal and not let it lead to anything else or a habitual thing.

Smoke infrequently in high doses.
Use it as a sacrament rather than an escape.
In this context it can be very very good for you - IF you are old enough. Like 21+

It's really better to eat it, but that requres preparation.

You should quit reasons:
1. It might make you realize you don't want to race in the rat race.
2. You plan on being an elected official or working for law enforcement.
3. Your dealer might introduce you to real drugs.
4. Chronic use makes you dull (temporarily)

You should continue because:
1. It expands your mind
2. It prevents many cancers
3. It replaces use of hard drugs like alcohol and tobacco (both of which are addictive and bad for your health)

TO QUIT: first and foremost, it is illegal, and depending on the state you get caught, you will get in a lot of legal mumbo-jumbo. Second, if you feel comfortable smoking pot it might encourage you to try something else, which could get out of hand, but that is a big IF.

TO USE MODERATELY: If you use sparingly and aren't wasteful (i.e. smoking more even though you know you are f*****,) it seems to free up your perceptions of the world around you. You become more open. Second: it should be legal anyways. The only reason why it isn't is because the gov't isn't smart enough to make more money on legalizing marijuana than they do on keeping it illegal. That really isn't a reason, but something to consider in the reasons why it is illegal in the first place.

Reasons to quit:
1. Jobs usually don't hire potheads.
2. Marijuana smokers are more likely to develop head and neck cancer than non-pot smokers.
3. It's illegal (although relatively few smokers ever get caught, like me.)
4. It makes you smell bad.

Reasons not to quit:
1. You enjoy it.
2. It's not inherently dangerous, there are (arguably) benefits to smoking it (nausea cure, pain killer, etc.), and it makes everything more interesting.

I quit because I got a job where they do an entry exam. I tried to start up again but it made me very paranoid. Once the cons outweigh the pros, it's time to quit.

NO!
Reason 1: its really really really.... reallly bad for you!

Reason 2: it will cause numerous problems. You will become unhealthy, unattractive, and unintelligent. ( sorry this is true) It will cause problems between your family and friends. And it will waste ALL your money.

I have not one reason why you should continue to do this. You wouldn't want to continue to kill yourself. (which is what you are doing)

Plus if you didn't smoke pot you wouldn't have to ask a question like this.

I actually have so many more reasons why you shouldn't continue what you are doing but there are too many to list.

*Look for alternative ways to spend you time and money* :-)

In Canada we use it make us the fastest snowboarders in the world. It is also an excellent way to accept that life has passed you by, takes the sting right out. The down side to it is that it burns out your lungs and kinda leaves you burned out too, but into each of our lives a little sunshine a little rain. I hope this helps, take care.

No smoking pot is bad for you because if you smoke pot, you can get lung cancer and you can die earlier than 100 years and another reason is it can give you TB.

It is a depressive. Do you want to end up with psychotic depression or schizophrenia? In most places in the world it it illegal. But I suppose it's ypur choice and maybe peer pressure or your friends made you do it and you may be trying to be cool. But I would quit if I were you
