hey! is it hard to forget first love or one can get away with those thoughts once the person is married???Or do the comparisons linger on????

Yes, and so do women. The memories mellow with age, so they do linger, but the one they marry can burn much brighter than the old flame they once had.

A person said no examples? I'll give you an example. I love someone and he loves me back. He is a player and although he realizes what he's doing is wrong and he does feel bad he still does it and can't help it. He does make it up to me every now and then and gets insanely mad when someone tries to harm me. However, I have done more for him than he has EVER done for me. I am currently getting $10,430. I have closed my collegeboundfund in order to get most of the money. I've done things I regret to get the money as well. Whenever we fight or he gets mad at me or sleeps with someone else or even starts to like someone else (I posted a question on that earlier) I go absolutely nuts. For example, I've stayed in my room for three days straight already only leaving to get food or use the toilet. I have been a mess however he's fine, going through his own problems but I highly doubt there's any concern for what we have in his head. And I would die for him in an instant. I couldn't live without him, I'd rather die knowing he's gonna live and be happy. If we ever are to get married and he left me or he died? Oh, don't think for a second I could handle that pain. I think I'd have to end it rather than deal with the pain of part of me being ripped away. So there's your example. It does have to do with individuals. No two people are the same

I think women have the same problem with their first love. I am married and still in love with my very first love of my life. She is still in love with me also, we see each other occasionally.
She has been married and have 2 children. Sometimes when she needs something I am there and available to assist her.
We have no sex with each other though the sexual tension is there at times.
I sometimes ask myself the what if questions, but soon forget them as my wife and I have a good relationship that produced 4 wonderful children.

You need to stop whining. Suck it up and tell this guy how you feel. Hiding yourself and exploiting it all to these people on here doesn't work. If you want your marriage to work, then you better get in there and work with him. My wife is not my first love either, but we currently have a love far better than either of us have ever experienced. Just show some compassion, some times it takes a little kick start!

yes men do compare their first love with current love, and it is hard to forget the first love.
