Wash Right
Wash your face regularly, not more than 3 times a day, unless you're living in a highly humid and/or polluted city which requires more washing to unclog pores. The best way to wash the face is to first lather your face-wash in your hands, apply it to wet skin and rinse. Pat dry. Scrubbing only aggravates the skin and causes further problems.
Cleansing Routine
Cleanse, tone and moisturise your face twice a day. Don't skip the moisturising step even if you have oily skin - just use an oil-free moisturiser.
Exposure to the elements
Avoid exposing your skin to the harsh elements. If you are going for a long drive, roll up your window slightly, so your face doesn't get plummeted by the wind, especially in polluted towns.
Water
Drink plenty of water to detox your system. Impure blood and poor circulation is one of the primary causes of acne.
Eat Right
Unless you are allergic to certain foods, eating junk food doesn't lead to the formation of pimples. But overeating certain foods, especially heating foods like chocolates and mangoes, can lead to an overnight zit congregation.
Good luck babe xx

I too have suffered the embarresment of acne. I have one word for you "ULTA" . Just go there and ask for someone to help you find a face wash and tell them the condition of your skin like is it dry or oily, are some areas more oily than others etc. It's pretty much like a free trip to the dermotologist maybe even better since they have personally tried most of these products themselves.
Also Ulta has a very good return policy. You can return anything within 60 days even if you've used up almost the whole bottle. So just try a few until you find what works best for you. Also try Astringent and cleansing masks.
Please pick me!

Great skin is the first step toward an excellent makeup.
Partaking in health and beauty rituals indiscriminately - slowing time and gravity's tentacles continues to lead us on a trail that has been philosophised throughout history. Beauty comes from within, for the beauty that is without resembles the beauty that is within.
Making the best choices for our bodies, and ultimately our skin, is achieved through diet/ food, exercise, regular professional treatments, personalized homecare, and a healthy mental attitude.
The type of skin you have depends on your genes, sex, age, environment, structure and regeneration. How you treat your skin will always be evident in your face, hands and body. Its never too early nor too late to begin looking after your skin.
Skin cleansing is essential: pollution, grease and grime cling to the skin, clogging pores; while the body eliminates toxins through perspiration. If the cleansing process is not thoroughly undertaken, the skin will look and feel sluggish, tired and minor skin problems and irritations will transpire.
Cleansing should be part of the daily routine: upon waking, and before returning to bed; before using special treatments (masks); before and after makeup; and after sport (to wash away perspiration and grime that builds up), all without disturbing the skins natural acidity. The acid mantle (or pH) valiantly guards the skin against bacterial invasion and other disturbances; warding off moisture loss, leaving the skin smooth, fine and blemish free.

No, don't wash your face twice a day, that can take away important oils from your skin and it can irritate and overdry your skin. Wash your face every single night, if I personally skip a night, I get a zit. Don't use ProActiv 'cause it's expensive. Use Ance Free, which is EXACTLY like ProActiv but way cheaper, under $20 and it works amazingly. Never sleep with makeup on, and remember to use the moisturizer because it helps a lot, too. Also, if it irritates your skin, you can also use Neutrogena cleanser n toner, you might have to switch around to see what works best, but that's what I use for my face and I'm so happy.

I use the Clear Skin Regimen at http://www.acne.org. It's a non-profit (so its free), the guy who created used to suffer from pimples himself. The system works wonders on my face, and its helped countless other people. The best part is that you don't have to order or buy any expensive treatments, everything you need for the Regimen can be found at your local drugstore. Find out more at the website.
In general, for clear skin it helps if you: don't touch/pick at your skin, drink lots of water, wash your hair frequently, change your pillowcases, exercise, wear little make-up (or if needed, hypo-allergenic makeup), and minimize stress.

Alternate your face washing --salycilic cleanser in the morning and glycolic acid cleanser in the evening. Neutrogena has cost effective products. I tried everything (accutane, antibiotics, pro-activ, other facial creams) and found this to be the best combination.
I also use a glycolic acid lotion at night which helps a lot, too (I'm 35 and have dealt with acne/pimples for 20 years!). My dermo made the recommendation for this routine and it works great.
Also remember to always wear sunscreen--every day.

I feel that a lot of it is genetic, unfortunately. But washing your face twice a day with an astringent, face wash with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, or something like Noxzema. The point is to wash at least once daily, use oil-free products, and use spot treatments containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide (I find benzoyl peroxide works better). Try not to touch your face too much, either...that will cause break-outs -- touching existing acne may prolong the healing process, too.
If it gets to be too much, I suggest going to see a dermatologist.

1. Get a face scrubber to scrub your face, e.g like a glove, you can get these anywhere, and scrub your face, which will remove the dead skin causing the blemishes.
2. Get a product from Yves Rocher called DEEP CLEANSING GEL, PURE CALMILLE with fresh chamomile, and you wet the glove put a bit on the glove and scrub your face.
3. Use also a GENTLE ALCOHOL-FREE TONER, which you wipe on your face using a cotton ball, and after you can apply a moisturizer on your face, but its best to use alcohol free products.

#1 Drink a lot of water
#2 Try not to eat too much candy and fry foods
# 3 and wash you face in the morning and night
(preferably with a face cleanser rather that plain soap)
And during summer try to wear sunscreen cause later you start getting those sun spots ..and trust me they don't look good
they start looking like freckles or moles

Try using Loreal pore scrub and a moisturizer after. I prefer Oil of Olay. Wash your face everyday and moisturize afterwards.
