There are not better or worse pictures of him, just amazing good luck for all of us to get to see him in different characters. There's something for everyone. Teenage Depp is just as good as Pirate Depp, and vice versa. It's just like with ice cream. Sometimes, you want vanilla and sometimes you want strawberry, but delicious is delicious in any form.
(Except for the movie "Blow", which was his only look I didn't dig.)

Knowing that Johnny hated being a teen idol, I know that he couldn't possibly put all of himself into it. Captain Jack Sparrow is all him. He designed it after his favorite rock star--Keith Richards, the guitar player for the 'Rolling Stones'--and applied the make-up, did his own costume, etc.. The producers, etc, were leery of his protrayal of Sparrow, but, hence, he made a killing--he wasn't going to change and be what they wanted! I'd have to say definitely--Captain Jack.

i think for some one in their teenage life, johnny in 21 jumpstreet days are cooler and more attitude....for someone in twenties above, captain jack will be better as johnny is more mature and wackier to the extend of portraying what normal people at that age would like to do....
