The brand doesn't matter so much. One thing that helps is to use all equipment from the same vendor for best and most consistent performance. I chose Linksys because of their improvement over the years whereas nearly 10 years ago I would have sworn them off. Today they make decent equipment and a great variety to suit all of the needs of my particular network.

At home i have used Dlink, Works good and 2 yrs no problems.

I would get a linksys, dlink, or netgear, they are all about the same, and are the best compatibility
