It will stop when it's done stretching. Try using calming lotion or coco butter lotion. I used it a few times a day and it seemed to help a little. Good luck!

Your skin is screaming for moisture and there are lots of nice moisturizers on the market made specifically for pregnant women.
Using moisturizers will prevent you from getting severe stretch marks that will last a lifetime, although most women get some stretch marks anyway.
The itching will last until you use some kind of moisturizer to control the dry skin. So don't delay!! The best time to put moisturizer on is right after you have showered and dried off. You can use more throughout the day and even before bedtime. Be diligent in using moisturizers and also drink lots of fluids, preferably water.

I think it really depends on the person and how much there tummy skin gets stretched. I only gained 35 pounds, and once mine started to get itchy it didn't stop till the end. I had......ok lol still have very unsually deep and long stretch marks with drove me nuts in the last few months. I tried the lotions and creams to stop the itching but they honestly didn't work for me. They may work for you though, and if the first one you try doesn't try a few more just to see if something else will.I have heard of women using olive oil also.

Well with my pregnancy the itching started when my stomach started growing at about 5 months and stopped at the 8th month only cause i didnt get much larger. The itching is caused by you skin streching and its not always a good idea to scratch it cause that could cause stretch marks. You might wanna try cocoa butter lotion it helps a lot!
