Definitely 'NO'. Not even the poorest country in this wolrd deserve such coward act. But, there must be reasons behind. Bin Laden became anti-US because, on the day US troops steps in Saudi Arabia, he (Osama) knew that they will never leave his country for obivous reason (Oil). Before, the prize of gasoline was Saudi Riyal 0.30/liter. After only a few years, it double(0.60/liter). Osama is a well educated person and understand the real motive behind. Second, Bin Laden's family, as represented by Osama's brother is a business financier and associates of Bush and Co. in their businesses as mediated by the Saudi Arabia ambassador to DC, His Highness Prince Bandar. There are a lot of reasons, we cannot discuss here for security reasons. Anyway, anything that occured has a reason, thats why there are people who are willing to die to justify this.

We did not deserve it, but we certainly put ourselves in a position to be attacked. We can maintain our power and strength, and still mind our own business. We should never be involved with internal affairs of other countries. The United States (we) created and finance Osama Bin Ladin during the Afghan war, just as we have other dictators and oppressors of people, and those people know it. If we were not starving and killing families and children in Iraq, (because of our embargo) I believe we would have never suffered the consequences of 9-11

How could any Nation " deserve " an attack such a 9/11???
The only good that's come out of it...is we're now somewhat better prepared for dealing with these suicidal-kamikaze-fanatic lunatics!
Our armies have been on the Offensive ever since...or, we'd surely have seen more atrocities on Western soils!

No. Do innocent women and children deserve to die in Iraq by our hands? It seems their death out number the deaths in 911. We went over to get Bi Laden, remember? You know, to avenge the victims. Lets do some math, we lose close to 4'000 lives on our soil. Innocent lives. They lose 15'000+, hmmm, we don't look so good. How about this, us taxpayers pay our soldiers to protect us, God bless them. We pay for us to destroy their country, we pay Halibut to put it back together, our gas prices have doubled, soon food and everything will have to take a price hike. Taxes will have to increase to pay for the war and keep the country running, especially now that we have 11-20 Million Illegal aliens on welfare. No, we didn't deserve it, nor do the innocent people of Iraq, WE DESERVE BETTER!!!!

No in both senses. No, the victims did not deserve to be attacked, and No, we do not deserve to be endlessly reminded of a terrorist attack that killed fewer Americans than are killed by heart disease every *two days*. It would be nice if the politicians and the media would have a little perspective, let the families go on in peace, and stop trying to rub our noses in it all the time.
No one deserves to die just because their government makes mistakes.

What does "as a nation" mean? It was only individual people who were killed.
