I'm sorry that you are having such a rough time. I went through the same thing with my parents.

This site should help you: http://kidshealth.org/teen/sexual_health/girls/menstruation.html

Love your Dad but you should be talking to a female. If mom won't or can't talk about female issues then you need to seek out a female that you trust or take a trip to your local library and speak with your librarian on helping you find a book for teenagers. At 13, you do need to speak with someone about female issues and the changes that your body is going through.

We all are more aware of "sexuality" these days due to magazine, t.v. commercial, movies, ect.

Please take the time to seek out help.

Love you !

If you don't feel uncomfortable about it let your dad talk to you about stuff. He knows all about female issues and will give you sound advise. How about your grandma or aunts. Is there a counselor at school you could talk to. And I think you only have to be 13 to be on Yahoo and can be younger if your parents have a family account. But be careful about who you listen to on here as some of it is pretty nasty.

Well just talk to your parents. Tell your mom you wished you gals talked more about your body. And your pops that u dont feel as comfortable talkin to him about that as you would with your mom. Good luck!

your mom is completely ignorant! she knows first hand what its like to be a woman. No disrespect to your father, but it's not his place to give you any advise on your body and the changes it will go through.

well i'm 14 and i don't really want my parents to talk to me about it. it is just embarrasing even for family matters, but that is just me. try to sit down with your mom in a empty room and just get it out. your mom just doesn't want you to grow up.

you need to tell your mom that you want to talk to her about you growing up, and no matter what she does it isn't gonna stop you from getting older. if you have to start crying for the dramatic effect (LOL). it always works for me. just be straight out with your mom and tell her you need to talk to her.

Talk to your school nurse... they're usually open and friendly. and I don't know what you want to know. You really shouldn't be asking people online this kind of stuff too. too many weirdo's.
