His 24 yr old daughter stood outside his bedroom door and offered to call the police on me to have me arrested and removed from his house because we were having an argument over his drinking and health problems. She picks up the phone and listens in while we are talking and even occasionally buts into the conversation.l
He is 55 and I am 43 years old. I think we are a little old to be listening in to our conversations.
His grandson came into the bedroom while we were being intimate and he had to quickly pull the sheets up, so we were not caught having sex. He is 6 years old
He walks in and out at will because there is no lock.
The daughter invites his x wife over to visit and I know its just to make me angry. Its not her mother. She invites her over to create a rif between me and her dad and she actually shows up.
Any suggestions. Truthful, honesty would be appreciated. No smart remarks please.

It's hard to know what the issue is, if you don't tell us what his reasoning for not wanting a lock actually is.

I suggest you sit him down, and ask him straight, what it is that bothers him about having a lock on the door. If it is something to do with the kids having access to the room, in case of an emergency, then maybe you can have set times of intimacy and solitude, where the door is locked. And. That most importantly, the kids know that all they must do is knock, if in need.

Tell him it bothers you, and tell him why. We (men) don't always catch on as quick as we should. I would suggest you put all your cards on the table, but avoid making his daughter sound vindictive, in regards to the whole inviting the x-wife over thing. That might go down a little nasty.

Good luck.
