Generally, no, but there are a few things to be aware of.
First, you want to make sure that your guys fingers, like anything else that goes inside of you, are clean and soft, without any scratchy parts or roughness. Get him to use lotion all the time, and make sure that he keeps his nails clipped and CLEAN. Generally anything that would not feel OK on the inside of your cheek, will not feel ok inside you other places either.
If your guy gets very deep inside of you he can touch the opening of your uterus – it is actually a rather prominent feature inside of your vagina and it can be uncomfortable for some girls if it is not treated carefully. You should consider slipping a finger or two inside of yourself and exploring until you find the opening of your uterus so that you know what it feels like when a guy plays with it (and they all will). It is also not a bad idea to simply know your way around your own body.
If you are not producing enough lubrication, and you are not using an additional sexual lubricant, ANYTHING, including your own, or your boyfriends fingers will be uncomfortable. Check to make sure that you are wet enough, and wait until you are, or use a lubricant if you are not.
If your guy is using too many fingers too quickly, then you may well experience some discomfort from the stretching associated with that as well. Some girls, (many I think when it is done correctly) enjoy the stretching sensation of a large object inside of them, but it takes time, and it takes a lot of lubrication to do it in a way that is enjoyable and not painful.
If you have not had sex before, you, or your boyfriend, may be encountering your hymen if it is still intact, and breaking that can be unpleasant for some girls, other girls have no discomfort associated with the breaking of their hymen. Everyone is different.
Generally though, being fingered by your boyfriend should be a pleasant experience, a great part of foreplay, and a great way for him to explore your body and discover what you like.

How about a guy's perspective?!
I have very strong hands and arms. Girlfriends I've had have really liked that physical trait and have enjoyed it, sometimes a bit too much.
A common next day complaint was the pain felt in "that area" after a very agressive "hands on" experience the night before. Some would experience it more than others but all seemed to experience it to some degree. Then again, they all enjoyed it immensely at the time and even if they knew what to expect the next day in terms of discomfort, nobody ever asked me to stop!
So I would say your discomfort is "normal" but, you've got to weigh the pleasure versus pain factor and do what works best for you and your partner.

I've been though that.. not all the time but when they weren't very good at it and just kinda fumbled around down there. Or even just because they didnt have very well manicured hands.. kinda rough.
Not to mention... fingers aren't what was ment to go down there...

Get some KY personal lube and/or astroglide. That will stop the pain. Better yet, get some condoms, wrap his rascal, and put that down there where it belongs!

Probably your partner needs to have a slower, gentler touch.
Lubrication used?
Fingernails cut?
