I am working on a 3 song demo in a studio with intent to shop it to publishers. I am wondering if naming a demo is usualy done. I know I didn't see Alice in Chains demo so I don't know if it's standard. Anyone?

Yes, I would. You want to get all the creativity you can out, as much as you can. Sometimes you just have one shot at it, and I would make it original too.
