Cancun is perfect in November. I did it two years ago and the weather was perfect. Warm enough to enjoy the ocean and beaches but not scalding hot like August. Its also a fairly low season so its not crowded. Don't let the hurricane stories scare you. The chances of being there when one hits is very slim and lets face it, you can have bad weather anyplace you travel too.

Don't´plan on it. We planned a vacation to Cancun using Alternative Vacations International Miami Florida. We were all ready to take the trip and the Hurricane hit. We could not get a refund of the $100 usd paid to the company. The company disappeared. I would suggest waiting till December. The weather can be a problem no matter where you go. Just make sure you reserve with a company that will refund your money and not one who leaves you hanging.

Just make sure to pack plenty of travelors checks because some places are very Gringo Happy. I hope that you learn some spanish before making the trip so you can tell if the locals are trying to cheat you or not. Good luck

Don't worry about the weather. They never seem to get it right. My wife and I have holidayed in the Mayan Riviera in November, the last couple of years, and had great weather each time. We will be there again this November, and expect the same type of weather. When it does rain, it's not cold, matter of fact, it is very refreshing. Also never lasts long. When you see a long range weather forecast for just about anywhere in Mexico, you will notice they cover everything. Sunny with cloudy periods, and a chance of rain. Or cloudy with sunny periods, and chance of rain, and cloudy with rain, and some sunny periods. They do this, so you can't really say they are wrong. At some point in the day, they are going to get it right. You'll have a great holiday, and so will I.
