So here it is and the source named

Thomas Crapper (baptized September 28, 1836; d. January 27, 1910) was a plumber who founded Thomas Crapper & Co. Ltd. in London.

Despite urban legend, Crapper did not invent the flush toilet (the myth being helped by the surname). However, Crapper put in much effort to popularise it and did come up with some related inventions. He was noted for the quality of his products and received several Royal Warrants. The noun "crap" was in use long before he was born.

I'm not sure about John Crapper, but there was a Sir Thomas Crapper. He didn't invent the toilet, but he did give it some fixer-uppers. John Crapper is possibly a combination of John Harrington (who did create the "crapper") and Thomas Crapper (who, as previously mentioned, just fixed up the "crapper".).

I'm not sure about the first name, but I know the last name Crapper truly existed.

A plumber in Europe used to mark the toilets which he had worked on above them.

Americans, when they went over, then saw the toilets with crapper written above them, and started calling toilets that.
