Superman HAS on varying occasions, worn a lead suit, or a NBC(nuclear/biological/chemical) containment suit to avoid the effects of Kryptonite. The things are terribly inconvenient, however, and from a marketing point of view, not good as they obscure the characters appearance, and someone flipping through the comic might miss the dramatic significance if they don't get that the guy in the yellow rubber suit is Superman.

That being said, why they don't give Superman some anti-Kryptonite power armor, a la Iron Man, is beyond me.

Because the lead would block his super powers getting out, not just the kryptonite getting in.

That makes me think too.. why don't he wear a lead bracelet? But of course, every super heroes has weaknesses... maybe... that's the special ingredient of the story to keep the viewers watching the film.

Because cloth will return to it's original shape after flying Lois Lane around all night. It would be too embarassing to fly around town with a woody shaped dent in your undies.

Kind of like a cup, huh?
Maybe lead paint all over would be good.
I think I saw a show where he did that.

chaffing is a good reason as well as the fact the lead tends to be a little stiff

It would ruin his package! Why would he want to be weak and limp in that particular part of the body...unless he's trying to hide a hard-on.

not everybody has their brains on the end of their diks you know
