14 year old Jamie is frustrated by the cruelty of the popular crowd at her school; she writes in her journal, giving characters fictional names and characterizing herself as IS-a girl who is popular and cool and not afraid of anything. When her journal is accidently turned in as an english assignment she wins a writing contest and winds up getting published. Jamie soon becomes a media darling as everyone loves her literary alter ego-and IS talks to Jamie guiding her every move. At first it is wonderful but things quickly spiral out of control; Jamie loses touch with her real friends, her family gets cought up in the hype and she fights more and more with her brother. Ultimately, Jamie realizes that IS is taking over her life and turning her into something she doesn't want to be. Jamie apologizes to her friends and embraces her ordinary life, banishing IS.

II was lucky enough to be on the set of Read it and Weep while they were filming at Murray High School in Salt Lake. (Actually the same school that some of High School Musical was filmed at. Anyway....the movie is going to be awesome. I was there the days that they filmed the prom scene. The energy was high and they had 200 teenagers dressed to the hilt dancing for three days while they filmed this really fun scene. Look our for Lenny. The actors name is Nick Whittaker. He is adorable. Sweet and good guy. (He has a small part in High School Musical as a real geeky guy in the audition sequence) I since have been on another movie set with him that my neighbor is making....so he hangs around my neighborhood a bunch. Anyway....mark my words.....he will be the next sure thing.
