I'm not really into the Wagoneer so much but shouldn't I buy this just to have the rear end for a future project, Aren't Dana 60s hard to find? 14 bolt I believe. Can you tell me a little about Dana 60s?

Also has v8, probably 360. Runs good.
Hotrod project? A different vehicle of course.

For that price you'd best jump on it. 360 engines are hard to find. Mainly the heads and intake. Those heads are worth more than the block. The Dana rear ends are everywhere. The biggest problem is that these days they are using 4.10 gears because everything has OD. Just look under any 3/4 ton Ford. You want one with 3.50 gears om it. Hopefully the wagoneer has that. I think it should but can't tell you for sure. Look at the tag on the diff. It also should have a 727 tranny. Those are nice too. Rebuild is inexpensive and rarely needed. Good luck.

I have owned a Jeep before and if I was you, I would walk away. I know it sounds good but problems are lurking in the darkest places!!

400 bucks is not that bad. If your good mechanically and can weld and work sheet metal then you could turn that into a nice off road vehicle. Or on road off road. etc.
