Excellent question!
There have been 3 hit records called Gloria.
In 1965 there was a version released by a band called Them; barely made the charts at No. 93. The same song was released by the Shadows Of Night in 1966 and climbed to #10. At the same time, it was re-released by Them and it went to #71. Van Morrison was the lead singer of Them. In 1984 it was recorded by the legendary Doors and got to #71.
In 1980 Laura Brannigan released a song called Gloria that was entirely different from the others. Made it to #2.
Finally, there was a song called Gloria by a group called Enchantment. That went to #25 in 1977. I'm not sure but I think that was a doo-wops song.

Van Morrison did a song called Gloria in the 60s. The Shadows of Knight "covered" it, also in the 60s.
And then the previously mentioned 80s hit by Laura Branigan.
I think theres been a couple gospel songs with this title.
