YES I WAS IN A RELATIONSHIP LONG DISTANCE AND IT NEVER WORKED OUT... BUT NOW I AM MARRIED TO MY HUSBAND NOW OF NEARLY 4 AND A HALF YEARS WITH A DAUGHTER OF 7 MONTHS OLD..

I have been in one and it was great because we covered a lot of ground on the phone and had genuine conversations and yes it worked out and if I were in the spot to do so again, I would. You can learn a lot from and about people through correspondence. Just listen to what they are saying. Communication is a great way to take any relationship a long ways. It is a key.

Yeah, and it was horrible. But we now married. So i guess it all worked out. The one thing thats nice about a long distance relationship is that you really get to know the person, with all those all night phone calls.

Never knew a long distance relationship that worked - not in the "long" run anyway. You need physical contact to keep a relationship going.

i had 2 long distance relationships. the first one didn't work because he had other girl friends while i was being loyal, the other one, i fell out of love with my partner, but now i'm happy in love with my new bf

Yup and he dumped me after 2 months. We had known eachother for 5 years, and then he joined the Army and moved to North Carolina. We "dated" for 2 months, even decided to get married, and then I got a "Dear Jane" letter in the mail, telling me that we would be better off as friends. 2 months later, I got an invitation to his wedding from his new fiance. Grrrrr....

Yep, I was in Denver and he was in Colorado Springs, we only go together on Sundays and that was 21 years ago and we have been married for 19 of those years.
Would I do it again, depends on the people and persons involved.
Good luck, it's hard, just keep the faith and don't distrust, you should do fine.

Yes...dated 2 years got engaged, moved to be with him and found out he was a closet binging alcoholic called it off and no I would never, ever do it again.

Yes I have, it was great till I was being jealous and screwed it all up, but I would do it again, I have learned how to make it work next time !!
