I now firmly believe that you'd have to cast out the old entrenched incumbents - good or bad, and start with a clean slate... former congressmen and senators would have to be disallowed from running. The people's referendums would supersede any objections from the Supreme Court and the executive branch would also come under an immediate "vote of confidence." In short there would need to be a lot of new elections and many of the "reboot" or restart rules would need to be in place. It would be our chance to do away with the lobby industry in Washington D.C., and also a mandate for complete (re)election reform would be the top order de jour. Yea, It would take the whole lot of American citizenry to say "We've had enough, and the corrupt pork-barrel politics stop NOW!" But because of our complacent posteriors being in a habitual state of inertness, it ain't likely to happen... and that's what the entrenched two-party system in America is counting on... the odds of the people activating in one organized sweeping voice for change... We're way-to-addicted to our creature comforts... we should be angry as H3!!, but it's like we've turned into a lot of passive sheep constantly reaching for our anti-depressants... more money for the pharmaceuticals!
So yea, a unified American public? Yea right... what are the chances... a cold day in H3!! - That's it in a NUTSHELL.
