they were losing and coach carter gave them a speech about making the other team play oiler basketball. they caught up and pulled ahead but at the last few seconds the other team scored and walked away with the championship. the team went into the locker room and was upset but coach carter basically told them they are winners and when they went back on the court you would have thought they won.

I have seen this movies 6 months ago.
I believe Coach carter Kills himself with Gun, when it was turn of the Student to point gun at himself. They were playing death game, taking turn of triggering the gun on head. So the it was students last turn to trigger gun at himself. it was obvious that bullet was there in gun, Coach carter took the gun from him. and shot himself.
I far as I remember. Anyways this was good performance by Steve Samuel.

okay... i have watched coach carter a few times before. they didn't win the championship but they sure did play like champions - that's basically how coach carter put it. and coach carter's son, damien, played by r'ichard broke his record in points and assists and went to west point. junior battle got a full scholarship in san jose state; kenyon went to sacramento state; timo went to humboldt state; jason went to san diego state; worm went to san francisco state. i think that's about it... :)
