While pet stores do have tanks they are usually overpriced and aquariums do not always work well for reptiles because of heating, lighting, and humidity needs. However if you do want to stay with aquariums in mind then there are several places to get cheap or even free aquariums of various sizes. http://cragislist.org and http://www.freecycle.com usually have people listing items or responding to requests of people who are looking for aquariums. You are not only re-using an item and preventing more trash to be generated but you are also saving money.

Alternately there are places such as http://www.visioncages.com or http://www.customcages.com which specialize in reptile enclosures. These can be more expensive however they do show you different styles that you can use to possibly come up with an idea of something that you would rather build yourself.

I have a beardie and it's almost two feet. I found a display counter like you see jewelry displayed in at department stores in works great. The side sliding doors make for easy access and all the glass keeps it warm and the proper humidity. Good Luck

You can try Wal-Mart, don't know if they sell anything over 55 gal.

Also to go along with the answer about making your own, a friend of mine owns a glass shop and he gets all kinds of requests for building aquariums. He likes to do them, there easy and cheap. So if you are not particularly handy you might try some of the glass shops in you town to see what they could do.

get clear plastic sheeting at a glass shop, cut the sheets to make a box shape the size you want, use corner molding for the corners to glue the plastic pannels to, if you are covering it too, then i suggest drilling lots of little holes in the cover. you will need to get fairly thick plastic for the sides and bottom like a quarter inch thick, not sure how much it would save you, or go to a building materials recycler and make a cage out of old windows.

Right now I would be checking out after Christmas sales at aquarium shops in your area. Also check the classifieds, Kijiji, even ebay.

You are posing your question on the wrong venue. This is better addressed on a site such as eBay.
