it depends. if it's just a white lie, that's ok. but to me a lie is worse.

Truth. The lie will end up drawing a lot more than one tear in the end.

A lie that draws a smile, because you're covering for something and making it worse by saying lying something positive. The truth is a lot better then lying. "The sword that cuts the fastest, hurts the least." Better to tell the truth, even if it hurts, then to lie and make it worse.

Hands down, lie that draws a smile.
Its ALWAYS better to tell the truth, no matter how bad things my seem. We don't want to have qualities like the originator of the LIE, do we? Who is that you ask? John 8:44 says, "The Devil."
Always remember, regardless of what the situation may be, if you lie, nothing good will come out of it.

a truth that brings a tear will keep a friend, who will smile again in the future.
