Not if you live, where the weather freezes. They have to be planted in the spring, and dug up, in the fall. Gladiola's will die in the freezing temperatures..

Yes they should, in fact, if you are very good, they could possibly bloom this year depending on where you live. i planted a lily bulb in July last year and it went on and bloomed. It came up this year as well and is blooming even as I type this. So give it a try.

gladiol bulbs have to be dug up in the fall,
They don't winter in the ground,
Plant in spring
