fathers if after you and your wife had a big quarrel,she decides she wants to take your child and leave and you made it clear she cant leave with your child and she replies he's not your child.then the next day after every one has cooled off,you ask her if the child is really yours and she replies that she only said that to piss you off so you would allow her take the child and leave,what would you do?

she probably got your goat, and pretty good too. Unless you have other reasons, or her reaction to you bringing it up is shady, then this may have been just an arguement.
Mind your insticts though, and be on the look out for any further comments. Explain to her that that type of arguing is unfair and unacceptable. if she was just saying it, she is less likely to be angry and will realize the graveness of the situation. If she takes it lightly, then there may be some issues....

I would insist on a paternity test, since she brought the question up, then I would insist that she stop "playing games'. These hypothetical situations are brought up in the midst of arguments to disarm the one who has a valid point and argument to begin with. People who do this are manipulative and hurtful. If the pattern continues I would leave, with the child and the same remark given to her that she gave to you, with the cheery afterthought that such a beautiful child couldn't possibly be the offspring of such a vindictive, hateful and manipulative witch.

That is a decision to be made by family court, if things go that far. If they do get to the point of going to court, then you can use that remark in court to prove mental cruelty and bring up possible infidelity.

i can't trust her... if she is so comfortable telling a lie about your kid, she is very well-capable of telling even much, more bigger lies in the future. what kind of a wife do you have?!!!
if she is telling the truth...good for you. but if not, boy... you need to see your lawyer.
sorry, but i just cannot trust a person like this one. who knows... she might be really doing it with another man! nobody would really know. but you have a choice and find out everthing about the wife. it is your prerogative and it is your right to do so.

If you have any doubts whatsoever, get the paternity test. She opened that bag of worms, angry or not, now it has to be dealt with.
