Why are those who disagree with the president pigeon holed as unpatriotic?

Yes, it is ok to disagree with the president - though like a teenager disagreeing with their parent, it often doesn't do much good. At least we can get a new president every 4 years.

Peace!

Yes it is okay to disagree with him. He is elected after all. He is also just a man. God gave us minds to use and think for ourselves. He wanted us to be free and to seek Him out willingly, but He never will force us. It is our choice to do so. Also this country is a Democracy. Thomas Jefferson and the Founding Fathers went to great pains to give us Freedom. Democracy is a system of government that can only work well when all are truly heard and have a voice, we all know that not everything everyone wants can be so, but if we agree to work together for the common good then we can benefit all men and women and children in this country. So yes it is okay to disagree with any president. None of us agree on everything all the time. Most of the time most of us disagree on most things even if it's just the details of how to do something. Be glad you live here and can disagree and be free to live happy.

It is certainly OK to disagree with the president. It is, in fact, almost the true American way to hate our politicians, but have an unwavering faith in our political system. We complain about the senators, half the time not even informed on what exactly they do or how they do it, yet have an almost blind patriotism and unconditional optimism towards our country and political system itself. It is not bad, per se, just how it seems to be. But by all means, it is fine to disagree with the president.

It is absolutely OK to disagree with the President. But be aware that you do not walk in the weight of responsibility for your decisions that the President does and you do not have the information he does. Leadership is always a terrible responsiblity that brings with it decisions have varying costs and outcomes attached to them which must be weighed and made.

It's okay to disagree! Everyone disagrees on some point or another. But it is wrong to be rude and crass and mean about it, and say bad things about the person just because you don't think they are right. Nothing gets solved that way!

That's what America is all about. I happen to like the President, but I would die fighting for your right to disagree with him. We have to have free discussion and debate to have a free society.

On this 4th of July weekend, we are reminded that our country, like most, was founded by people disagreeing with their leader. These people end up putting freedom of speech in the new constitution. Of course it is okay.

Yes: it's one of the few sweet perks we--the commoner, blue collar hard working American has: we can verbally disagree with Bush.....and he doesn't catch-back on us.

However, if you're an politically empowered, publicly visible on CNN person on the state or Federal level....you then have to balance your comments carefully on that tightrope called diplomatic tact. Folks in lofty, offices with all those cool perks can get caught-back on if they miff GWB with their critical comments on the network news.
