I so totally disagree with popular culture in almost everything, it seems. My mother jokes that if most people like it, I am sure not to. I wonder why?
Peace!

It seems almost like a good thing to disagree with pop culture. Oftentimes, if something is popular, it means that the majority of people (idiots) are into a new thing. Trends can be dangerous.

All the time, people who follow the herd, I see as brain washed. I live for disagreeing with popular culture.

Isn't it ironic that every answer so far has been that they disagreed with pop culture, though the definition of pop culture is what most people agree with? Sure we all disagree with it at times, but so often what we agree with in pop culture is so inherent to us we don't even notice it; it slips under the radar.

Yes.
I don't know how people can like the top twenty stuff, it's good the first three times you hear it, then I always end up hating it.
I also don't know why all the celebrities have to get a fake tan. It looks orange and stupid. They want to get tan, fine, but they should do it on a beach-isn't hollywood in California/ I mean, it gets enough sun, right?
I also don't get some fashions, like the cut-off jackets and things like that. i hate them (the garment, I mean.)

God tells us to be IN the world but not OF the world. So I don't think it's a question of agreement or dissagreement about pop culture, it's just a matter of living in God's culture

Pop culture is what it is.
It was made that way by people..
I don't disagree with it, after all it displays the world we're currently living in.

Yeah. I mean you can't judge them nessesarily in the sense that they are under alot of pressure and power and materilism can be bad influences. But I don't like it that many pop icons are given so much attention when their morality is not too great.

Of course, I don't think we can always agree with popular culture, or maybe it's just that I'm not popular? hmm...

Yes, and how we have destroyed the sacredness of sex/sexuality (how people dress now a days), the lost art of writing letters (look what we have ..myspace and internet on our phone). So much has changed for the worse..Give me a break...
