And 200 years ago, some scientists said that everything is made from Air, Earth, Fire and Water.
Science is very good at describing and evaluating the items and events in the objective physical realm. They are notoriously poor at doing the same for anything with a high subjective component.
The biggest flaw in the pheromone theory about love is that for some time Pen Pals or Internet Friends have been able to love one another without ever seeing or smelling each other.
Some of these pairs have had the strongest bonds of social relationships known.
The second flaw to this theory is that if it merely a chemical reaction, why does romance fade. The pheromones should have a constant effect over time. Romantic love seldom lasts.
The final problem stems from research which shows that people who have lost there sense of smell or are isolated in a plastic bubble for medical reasons can still "fall in love."
I believe that romantic love and true unconditional love are both emotions, not chemical reactions.

Its not just the pheremones. There is a woman who smells sooooooooo good that it makes me crazy to be in the same buildig with her. She's way too young for me. I will never say who it is.
SO, love involves more than that. Eye contact, smiles back and forth. Brains liking subtle thigs about each other , etc. Its an emotion that is a chemical reaction, just like a thought is a chemical reaction, or like we are chemical reactions.

I would say that love is an emotion. Lust is a chemical reaction. Love encases so much more than just a "mating" ritual and that ritual is where the pheromones come into play.

Pheromones are an overrated explanation for human attraction, even though that model does work for some part of the animal kingdom.
Love is basically the end result of attachment processes.

In the beginning it is chemical but that wears off. If you still love the person after 6 months it is love.

It is very different for many people. In general, women often associate love with sex while men usually see the two concepts as completely diferent. My opionion is solely based on experience with people. I have no scientific backing at all.
Good look in discovering your true answer. If you do find it, I sincerely hope that you will share it with the rest of the world.

It might be similar to a skunk I wonder if its euphoric for a skunk when they spray. Well, anyhow love is so much more than science and organisms. Would you agree?

Loving somebody & being in love with somebody is 2 different things!
Being in love is an emotion & a chemical reaction.
LOVE is a Choice & an action. You choose to be with somebody & love them with your action in spite of their imperfection. Like if your boyfriend yells at you & you don't yell back at him, because you choose to love him.
