when you are old enough, have a steady job with steady income, a steady partner (preferably a spouse) who is also ready, the maturity to know it will not always be fun, and be relatively settled down.
Here is a link for a quiz you can take to see if you are ready.

When you are married. Can handle together anything that comes along good or bad in the pregnancy. Are financially capable together for the infants never ending needs. When both you and your husband can maturely handle without anger the babies sleepless nights when everyone has to go to work regardless of what little sleep you had, changing diapers, feeding baby, the baby won't stop crying for hours on end, if the baby is diagnosed with a problem while pregnant for it, if it's born handicap, then all the life changes that go with that. You and your spouse should NEVER get angry or lose your temper with the infant EVER. That child will be here because of the actions you decided. There is so much more, this was a start.

the best time to have a baby is when you are ready. Keep in mind that kids cost money, needs lots of attention and unselfish love all the time. Are you ready? I had my first child at 26. I have a great job and two wonderful children and a good husband. It's all up to you.

The truth is no one will never be ready for what lies ahead when they have a baby. But we can prepare ourselves. You are going to need to be financially secure because it is very difficult.everything to do with you goes out the window alone with the dirty nappies.if your all about the latest trends you can forget about it cos your gonna be wearing last years fashions.you can also kiss goodbye to a good social life.because number 1 how are going to afford with a child that out grows their cloths every week & then if you can you have to find a good baby sitter that won't steal from you,run up your phone bill & invite her boyfriend in.Tell you what, right out a list of all the things that are vital like bottles, food, cribs, prams, clothing, nappies, ect go & get the prices.you'll be shocked.always remeber, you can't hand this one back like you can with other people's kids.

My daughter wanted a baby so bad I could hear her biological clock ticking from a mile away. I am proud to say that I am now a grandmother of a beautiful 4 month old grandson but on the down side of her being a mother she has learned that it is alot of hard work he is a great baby but she is always tired and she is trying to be a mom and she is trying to work to support him. Don't get me wrong she loves being a mom but she realizing she needs alot of help from me and her 2 sisters so just make sure .
you have all the love and the support of your family.

A good time for a baby is when you are married and you and your spouse have the time and financial ability to raise a child.
Oh, and you *both* actually have to *want* to have a child.

You don't say whether you are single, married or whatever??? Probably in your late 20's or early 30's would be good, then if you are married you and your husband would have some stability behind you. Good Luck!!!
