My g/f asked this question:
Question:
I am 16, I am not sexually active. i excersize daily, and eat healthy.I have been having extreme pain w/ my period. I have had it for like 2 yrs. Every time I get it, I get sick, feel like I am gonna puke unbarable back pain, "curl up in a ball" stomach pain. Whenever I get it I am out of school for the whole thing and am in bed unable to keep anything- the only thing that doesnt make me puke is water. The pain meds the doc gave me r not working, and the past 2-3 times I have had my period, I passed out a few times from the pain. Any advice will help!

OKAY I want to know how I can comfort her during her period? How can I make her feel better? Any guy w/ a g/f if u know pls give me advice on how to comfort her!
Joe

Bring her water or mild snacks if she can stomach them. Offer her a gentle shoulder or lower back rub. Warm up a hot water bottle or get a heating pad. Offer fuzzy blankets if she's cold.

Hormones can make a woman miserable both mentally and physically and the best thing you can do is be gentle and kind, not make fun of her, be there for her (even though at times she may want to be alone), and respect her.

I hope she and her doctor can work out these problems and make her period a less miserable time.

Sounds like she may have endometriosis - she needs to be checked by the doctor - some pain and discomfort is normal during her period, but what you are describing is not normal!!

Your girl friend needs to get a second or third opinion from a gynecologist.
