No, that is a myth. No animal will stay small just because it is in a small cage. Regardless of the size of the cage the animal will continue to grow. Reptiles are commonly thought to only grow to the size of their environment but the growth isn't based on size of cage but the foods they eat. So if you are feeding a well balanced diet then your lizard is going to grow to the optimal size for that species. Goldfish also do not grow to the size of the container they are in. They will also continue to grow. While animals can live in smaller enclosures they will not be happy nor will they remain healthy. How would you feel if you had to live in a closet your whole life? Please research the animal that you have and then research how large that animal will get. Then build or purchase an enclosure that will suit your animal's needs.

I believe that the growth of a lizard will be stunted because it won't have room to grow in a small cage. Depending on the type of lizard, the cage should be big enough for them to run around.
If the cage is to small they become less active and will not grow much. Eventually it will die because of lack of space.

No. A snake or lizard or any kind of animal can only grow as big as it is genetically designed to grow. If it were true, what about wild lizards? If you follow that logic, the earth would be covered with gigantic lizards.

Well if it grew larger than the cage, The cage would have to break. Make sure the cage is at least 100 times the size of the animal whatever it is.

I have seen a few of them at truck stops and they can get pretty big and climb on the running boards of trucks. They are very bad about removing money from your wallet too.
here lizzard lizzard lizzard. lol
lol but think about this. What if you did put it out side? would it get as big as a house? Nope it won't . It depends on how well it is fed and how long it lives on how big it gets

That is an old pet store myth.
Give your pet lizard as much room as possible with as many hiding, basking & feeding spots as possible.
Anyone who tells you this does NOT know what they are talking about.
