Do you think Star Jones got fired because she's black like some people are saying? Or because she was just an annoying self-absorbed diva?

Hel-lo...if your contract isn't renewed, in essence you've been fired. I think the network had had enough of Star Jones, and it had nothing to do with the fact that she's black. She was so self-absorbed and lost touch with her audience. Not sorry to see her go...The View should be able to get someone with integrity and the ability to work as a team player, not an "all about me" person like Star Jones.

No, I am pretty sure they will replace her with another black woman in order to cover that demographic and to get black stars to appear on the show. I think she got fired because she wanted to turn the show into Star Jones' View, when everybody knows it's Barbara Walters' View.

I was up in the mountains and away from media when all this came down. I thought Rosie was replacing Meredith, not Star. Did Star just walk off the show last week?
And black? Oh please.......I bet even African Americans are getting sick of that one. That's probably the most positive thing Star had going for her.

There is no way to really know the real truth but I think Star has to accept the fact (since she says she only states the fact's) that her behavior has a lot to be desired by the public. Maybe, she will find a show that shows her as a human instead of the diva she thinks she is.

who cares what she got for her wedding. walters was just plan wrong. it was none of her buisness what she got for her wedding. since she lost her weight is she has been a little diva. but she feels so good about herself after being over weight for years and for some people it takes a big toll after achieveing a goal that you've wanting to achieve for so many years. and walters should understand this. and anyway is'nt it about time for her to step down and retire? if not she really needs to. and for her to call all her television friends to bash star she sure is tacky. that certainly was no class.

She didn't get fired, her contract wasn't renewed. She said some controversial things and did some controversial things.
She degraded aetheists. She exploited her celebrity status for her wedding (took gifts in exchange for plugs). I"m sure she's done more, but I'm a guy and I never watch the show.

Well, Bah Bah Walters, hated the competition. She went about it all wrong. They should of told Star to her face, n ot, her Agent, Husband, then Star last, wrong. Bah Bah is OLD,,shes has the shakes. time for Olde Ladies Home!!! Also that Behar Female, Ech!!!!

It was because Rosie ODonnell is coming on the show. She probabaly had a stipulation that Star not be renewed so that she could be the queen bee.

i don't in all hazard shop on with the coach so i may be unwell recommended. even nonetheless the only reason i've got heard her followers became on her is with the help of the fact she lost weight and have been given married so i individually don't get it. i'm not happy or unhappy a team of keveching hens who watches that crap?
