definitely carrie underwood. she won last season and rightfully so. i also think she is the most successful. sure kelly has sold more albums but she has been around a lot longer than carrie. if you look at their debut albut albums only, kelly's went double platinum and carrie's went triple and is still going strong. carrie has such a a beautiful voice and can sing anything. her debut album is awesome and just look at how she is tkaing the country world by storm. this last season should have come down to chris and katharine but of the two in the finals, i think katharine should have won.

In terms of Talent or sales?
I believe in terms of sales, Kelly leads the way...
In my opinion, Clay had the most talent (even though he wasn't a winner, I think most people who follow the show think of him as the winner).
My vote, however, goes to Chris Daughtry.
Not a winner... not the most talented... but the ONE singer that really had me looking forward to the next show... until he was voted off and I swore I'd never watch that cheesey show again.
Or, at least I didn't watch it again until the finale... which stunk.
Hopefully next year will be better... or it might be starting it's downhill ride (in my opinion)...

Kelly Clarkson's still the best, but for this year I liked Taylor. He's different than any of the other ones.

I honestly think Chris was but he didn't win, Taylor did so I guess he is the best.
